HxGN SFx | Asset Management

Release 5.2.2

SFx Asset Management 5.2.2 is a service pack that includes performance and usability improvements. It also contains a number of new features, as well as fixes for known issues. The updated features are as follows:

User Invitation

As a Standard User or Asset Administrator, now you can easily invite new users to join your organization in the HxGN SFx platform by requesting approval from your Account Administrator. See Inviting New Users for details.

Account Administrators can be informed by emails and banner notifications and then process new user requests in time. See Reviewing User Requests for details.

In addition, the Users menu on the Account Settings page is available to all users now. With a solution role, either Standard User or Asset Administrator, you can view the user name, email account, and the SFx Role of all users in your organization.

Realtime Tagging for Multiple Assets

Now you can add a real-time downtime tag for multiple assets at a time in the Asset Dashboard. By applying asset filters, you can quickly find out and tag target assets in batch. See Realtime Downtime Tagging for details.

Changes to Production Schedules

Moved the Production Schedules section from the User Menu to the Asset Settings page. As an Asset Administrator, now you can apply a schedule to multiple assets at once. Moreover, you can create and apply a schedule on the same screen while previously you had to go to the Edit this Asset screen to apply a schedule after creating one in the Edit Schedule screen.

In addition, a new column is added to the schedule list to display how many and which assets are applying a production schedule. See Production Schedules for details.

SFx Desktop Upgrades

  • Pulse Integration

Integrated the Pulse onboarding process into SFx Desktop, including wireless Pulse sensors and wired Pulse hub. With SFx Desktop, you can onboard Pulse sensors to SFx Asset Management, attach Pulse sensors to the onboarded CMM, and configure related settings.

In addition, you can turn on or off the data transmission of wireless sensor modules and also enable or disable specified sensors on the sensor configuration screen.

See Connecting Pulse Sensors to Your CMM for more information.

  • Optimized Asset Onboarding Process

    • Re-designed the onboarding process for machine tools with modern interactive interfaces. See Connecting an MTConnect Enabled Machine to SFx for details.

    • Optimized the asset onboarding process for CMMs. Now you can opt-in to the Send Dimension Results to the Cloud option during the onboarding process with no need to jump to the Service Configuration page. Additionally, the Location Selection step has been removed as you can edit it later. See Connecting Your CMM to Your SFx Account for details.

  • New Indicator for Connectivity to Cloud: Added a cloud icon in the top right of the toolbar to dynamically reflect the connectivity between SFx Desktop and the SFx server.

    • SFxDesktop_CloudIcon_Green.PNG Green - Indicates the connectivity between SFx Desktop and the SFx server is healthy.

    • SFxDesktop_CloudIcon_Yellow.PNG Yellow - Indicates at least one of your assets has a connection problem, such as invalid asset credentials.

    • SFxDesktop_CloudIcon_Red.png Red - Indicates SFx Desktop cannot connect to the SFx server. In this case, the internet on the computer that installed the SFx Desktop is connected.

    • SFxDesktop_CloudIcon_Grey.PNG Grey - Indicates the internet on the computer that installed the SFx Desktop is disconnected.

  • Defined more specific error states for the SFx Connection status of an asset in the My Assets list, including

With an activated local PRO subscription, you can output the data stream of your asset in a format that complies with the MTConnect standard protocol without internet access. See Local PRO Subscriptions for details.

  • Added descriptive explanations for each menu on the Settings page to help you understand the usage of each setting menu.

  • Enables you to select multiple sensors of the same type, such as Temperature sensors in the Pulse Dashboard to display line charts of selected sensors centrally in the Overlay mode.

  • Prompts a push notification to remind you to close metrology software before installing or restarting the SFx Desktop application.

  • Added solid logic to precisely reflect the SFx Connection status for laser trackers.
