The SFx Asset Management version 3.0 is a major release that contains many new features and stability and performance improvements. See the highlights below.

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

  • Performance – Monitor your equipment’s operating capacity

  • Quality – Track your measurement process’s success rate

  • Overall – Measure your equipment’s overall effectiveness

Better Information from PC-DMIS

Note

The changes described in this section depend on using PC-DMIS 2019 R2 and installing a coming service pack, Service Pack 3.

  • Better routine status information

    • Routine progress based on execution time

    • New states including Waiting and Error

    • New events include Routine Cancelled, Paused, Resumed, Error, Edit Mode, and Operator Input Requested

    • Utilization charts include time in Error state

  • Error messages from more controllers

    • Messages relayed from all types of machine controllers that PC-DMIS interfaces with.

    • This means that machine controllers that do not have a direct interface to Asset Management may interface with it indirectly via PC-DMIS.

  • Improved Stability and Robustness

    • Enhances the reliability of the PC-DMIS-cloud connection.

Changes to Utilization Graphics

  • Improvements to make the utilization charts more responsive to changes in status

  • Asset Utilization chart is relabeled “Utilization Over Time”

  • Runtime-Not-Runtime chart is relabeled “Utilization Summary”

  • Labels are harmonized to OEE terminology (i.e., “Operating” rather than “Busy” and “Runtime”)

  • Error time is now displayed on utilization charts

  • Unknown time is displayed as text next to Operating and Not Operating in asset detail view

  • Routine name is added to tooltip in Utilization Over Time chart

  • Export System Report to CSV

Overhaul of Schedule Setup Screens

  • Click to add shifts

  • Set up shifts for multiple days at once

  • Save company holidays

New Asset Sorting and Filtering Options

  • Sort assets by any filter option

  • New filter option for Overall Status

  • Filter now works on the Table View of assets

  • Adjust the display order of filters on the screen

Changes to User Roles

  • A new user role, Asset Administrator, is added with permissions for adding/deleting/editing assets

  • Asset Administrator role does not have permissions for adding/deleting/editing user accounts

  • The original “Administrator” role is renamed as “Account Administrator” and maintains all its original permissions, including those for adding/deleting/editing both assets and user accounts

Banner Notifications, such as:

  • “Asset Management has been updated! Check out What’s New!”

  • “The system will be down for maintenance updates for 1 hour this weekend.”

  •  “Your new Pro subscription is available. Go to Subscriptions to assign it to an asset.”
