Recovering an Asset to Your SFx Account

You can recover an asset to your SFx account in the following cases:

  • You removed an asset locally from SFx Desktop.

  • Your asset was disconnected and cannot be found in the All My Assets screen.

  • Your asset has been connected to a computer but the computer is unavailable. Now you want to replace it with a new computer.

Note

Standard Users and Asset Administrators both have permission to do this.

  1. Open SFx Desktop from the Windows Start menu or double-click the image12.png icon in your system tray.

  2. Click the Open Settings icon.

  3. Under Settings, select Backup & Restore.

  4. Click Recover or re-connect to an asset on my account.

  5. Read the graphical instruction, and click Go to Recover / Reconnect My Asset.

  6. From the asset list on the left, select one or multiple assets that you want to recover.

    Note

    This asset list shows all assets that have been provisioned to your organization by your team members including yourself.

  7. Click Connect.

  8. Go back to the All My Assets screen. You can find your asset is recovered and displayed in the asset list.
