Reconnecting an Asset on a New Computer
Precondition
Your asset has been connected to your SFx account on a computer. However, you want to replace the computer with a new one for some reason, for example, the old computer is not working or is unavailable temporarily.
In this case, you don't need to provision your asset on the new computer again. Instead, you can quickly reconnect your asset to a new computer as follows:
If the old computer is still available
You can back up the current configurations of the SFx Desktop on the old computer, and then restore them on the new computer. See Backing up and Restoring Configurations of SFx Desktop.
If the old computer is not available
You can directly recover your asset to the My Assets list on the new computer. See Recovering an Asset to Your SFx Account.
