Enabling History Data Buffering
SFx Desktop offers the possibility of buffering data on your computer that is connected to your asset, in case your computer is temporarily offline. In this case, the buffered data can be retrieved automatically once your asset gets online again. Otherwise, the data generated during the offline period would be lost entirely.
This is helpful when a portable asset (measuring arm or laser tracker) is connected to your computer and SFx Desktop receives data from the asset during the offline period.
Tip
If you are using the latest version of SFx Desktop, this functionality is enabled by default.
