HxGN SFx | Asset Management

Time Sync between Asset and Program

This functionality is designed to provide you with a synchronized view of the status of an asset and a program at the same time and put quality data and asset status in the context of each other.

To help you achieve this goal, SFx Asset Management provides the following features:

  • Date-selectors within the Event Log pane are optimized to enable you to specify a certain time range accurate to the minute for an asset’s or a program’s details, including events, utilization, charts, OEE, and run history and run detail.

  • Linked an asset or a program, and events associated with it to a synchronized time range in asset and program details.

Let’s go through these features from 6 parts, including

See the figure above. When clicking any segment on the Utilization Over Time chart indicating operating status (Green) and error status (Red), and then select Go to program from the pop-up menu, you will be directed to the detailed view of the selected program. Meanwhile, in the Program Detail View, the program records that occurred during the selected time range in the Run History table are listed with a program record highlighted in the middle if it is running currently on the asset, and the relative Run Detail is displayed. Also, the program events that happened during that time range are displayed and indicated by a specified time range in the Date selection.

Note

This is only applied to CMMs running smart programs. See Program Types for more information on Smart Program and Non-smart Program. See the summary logic chart below.

Similarly, when clicking any segment in the Utilization Over Time chart indicating operating status and error status, and then select Go to program from the pop-up menu, you will be directed to the detailed view of the selected program. For the other segments, including yellow and grey, you can only click it and add tags.

Note

This is only applied to CMMs running smart programs as well. See the summary logic chart below.

In the Program Detail View, click the asset name in a row of the Run History table and note the Run Date, you will be navigated to the Asset Detail View. You’ll see the Utilization Over Time chart only displays the utilization during that time. Additionally, event logs and OEE metrics of that asset are also displayed in the same time range.

Note

This is also only applied to CMMs running smart programs at the present. See the summary logic chart below.

Proceed to click the green or red segment in the Utilization Over Time chart described in the Program Detail View section, you will be directed to the Program Detail View once again with a program execution record highlighted in the middle. Meanwhile, the program details, including the selected run history record, run detail, and event logs, are displayed in the same time range synchronized with the selected utilization segment. See the following figure.

In the Asset Detail View, click the hyperlink of a program name that ends up with .PRG in the Event Log pane to go to the Program Detail View. You can observe the program details, including the selected run history record, run detail, and event logs, are displayed in the same time range.
