Managing Production Schedules
SFx Asset Management allows you to visually create production schedules by adding customized shifts and holidays in the timetable to plan the production cycle for assets on a weekly basis. With the schedules, SFx Asset Management can accurately acquire the scheduled production time for each asset in any time slot. The scheduled production time is an effective and key metric to evaluate Asset Utilization and OEE for your assets.
Tip
When you set up a shift or a holiday in a schedule, the time settings in the schedule will be equivalently transformed to the local UTC time no matter which time zone the associated asset is located in.
The following section introduces how to create a schedule that contains shifts and holidays.
Log into the SFx Asset Management Portal with your Asset Administrator account.
At the top right of the header, next to the Help icon, click on the Settings (
) icon above the user profile.
On the Asset Settings page, click on the second tab to open the Production Schedules page.
On the Production Schedules page, do as follows to add a production schedule:
Click + Add Schedule. An Add Schedule dialog pops up.
Enter a unique and meaningful schedule name.
Tip
The schedule name cannot exceed 50 characters.

Specify the start time and end time of the shift.
Tip

Note
You can add multiple shifts to one day. However, the time range of these shifts cannot be overlapped. If a newly created shift is overlapped with an existing one, then the old one will be overwritten and deleted. For example,
Click Apply.
Repeat the above steps to add more shifts to the schedule.
Tip
When moving your cursor to a shift in the timetable, you will see a white arrow appears at the bottom. You can drag the arrow up and down to quickly adjust the duration of the shift.
Add holidays to the schedule.
Select the Holidays tab. All available holidays shared across your organization are populated. See Adding Shared Holidays across Your Organization for details.
Select the holidays that you want to add to the schedule and toggle on the State switch to enable them.
Tip
The duration of a holiday is treated as scheduled downtime.
Click Save to save the schedule.
After a production schedule is created, you can apply it to one or multiple assets as needed. There are two approaches:
From the Edit Schedule screen, you can apply a schedule to multiple assets at once.
From the Edit this Asset screen, you can apply a schedule to only an asset at a time.
Note
An asset can apply only a production schedule. When the schedule applied to an asset is changed, for instance, changing from Schedule A to Schedule B, the Asset Utilization and OEE metrics of this asset will be re-evaluated accordingly.
From the Edit Schedule screen
