Plant Management
You can add and manage all plants where your assets serve in SFx Asset Management so as to group, filter, and manage assets by plants.
Tip
Only Account Administrators have the privilege to create and manage plants in an organization.
Sign in to the SFx Asset Management Portal as an Account Administrator.
Click on the
icon at the top left corner of the Home page to open the My Solutions side pane.
Select and click on the Account Settings item at the bottom.
You'll find the Account Settings menu as follows. Then select and click Plants.
On the Plants list page, click Add Plant to open a pop-up dialog.
Enter the plant name and plant address, and click Save.
Note
The plant name cannot exceed 200 characters.
Tip
You can associate the plant with an asset when modifying the properties of the asset. See Modifying Asset Properties for details.
Note
For the Plant Address field, you can either type a detailed address or select an address from the dropdown list that matches your need. In the latter case, the asset that is associated with the plant that has a selected address will be displayed in the Map View as the icon while the manually entered plant address will not be shown. See Map View for more information.
Similarly, perform the first three steps described above to enter the Plants list page.
On the Plants list page, select the plant that you want to delete, and click the
icon.
Click Delete to confirm the deletion.
Similarly, perform the first three steps described above to enter the Plants list page.
On the Plants list page, select the plant that you want to modify, and click the
icon.
Modify the plant name and address based on your need, and click Save.
Note
The plant name cannot exceed 50 characters.
