Adding a Notification
Log into the SFx Asset Management Portal.
Next to your profile icon, click the user menu and select Notification Setup.
Under the Asset Notifications tab, click + Add Notification.
By default, the Asset Notifications tab is expanded.
Under the Invalid Notifications tab, asset notifications set up for Lite assets previously, or for assets that had PRO subscriptions before but now expired are displayed here. When a PRO subscription is assigned to an asset that is in the list, relevant asset events become valid and auto-transfer to the Asset Notifications tab.
To add a type of event notification for an asset, complete the following steps. See Notification Properties for details.
Select a target asset from the Asset list. By default, All Assets are selected.
Select a data source from the Source list.
If you selected Sensors as the source, select a sensor from the Sensor Type list first; If you selected Controller or Asset as the targeted source, just jump to the next step.
Select one or multiple status conditions from the Status list and click Save.
To add a type of event notification for all programs running on an asset, complete the following steps:
Select an asset from the Asset list. By default, All Assets are selected.
Select Program from the Source list.
Select one or multiple status conditions from the Status list and click Save.
To add a type of event notification for a program running across all assets, complete the following steps:
Switch to the Program Notifications tab.
Click + Add Notification.
Select a program from the Program list. By default, All Programs are selected.
Select one or multiple status conditions from the Status list and click Save.
Note
To add a type of event notifications for all programs running on an asset means that program event notifications of an asset would be sent to you no matter which program is running on it.
To add a type of event notifications for a program running across all assets means that event notifications of a program would be sent to you no matter which asset it is running on.
To add a type of event notification for wireless Pulse sensors, do as follows:
Select a CMM from the Asset list. By default, All Assets are selected.
Select Wireless Pulse from the Source list.
Under Conditions, the event type Wireless Pulse Battery Low is selected by default.
Select one or multiple status conditions from the Status list and click Save.

Note
You can only receive desired email notifications from programs running on PRO assets although you may have configured the program notifications for all assets.
Notification Properties
The following table describes the configurable properties of a notification.
Property | Description |

Source | Specifies the types of events that you want to subscribe to email notifications. See Supported Event Sources for details. |
Asset | Specifies the target asset that you want to subscribe to email notifications for certain types of events. |
Program | Specifies the target program that you want to subscribe to email notifications for certain types of events. |
Status | Specifies the conditions conformed with the level of events that you want to subscribe to email notifications. See Asset Event Status and Program Event Status for details. |
The following is a sample email notification sent by SFx Asset Management when a subscribed critical event occurred on an asset. You can click Go To Asset in the email to drill down to the asset with more details collected in SFx Asset Management. To unsubscribe from the email notification, click the Unsubscribe hyperlink inside the email.

Tip
If an asset has been added to a plant, the Plant Name will be displayed on the notification email.
When a program is running on an asset that has occurred an event subscribed, the field Active Program will also be shown on the notification email.
The following is a sample email notification sent by SFx Asset Management when a subscribed critical event occurred on a program. You can click Go To Program in the email to drill down to the program with more details collected in SFx Asset Management. To unsubscribe from the email notification, click the Unsubscribe hyperlink inside the email.

Tip
Notification email backgrounds are displayed in two colors, to help you easily identify whether events occurred in the daytime or at night.
White background for daytime (6:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Black background for nighttime (outside the range of daytime)
System Notification in Windows
When a subscribed event occurs on an asset or a program, apart from receiving an email notification, you can also receive a system notification in the action center if you enable app notifications in Windows 10.
Click Allow if you want to enable system notifications in Windows 10.
