Browsing Asset Utilization

SFx Asset Management provides you with three types of bar charts to browse the utilization of all assets from different perspectives:

This type of chart shows the real-time operational status (Operating, Idle, Error, and Unknown) in the selected time span with a timeline for assets on the current dashboard. Each segment represents the duration of the operational status of an asset. When moving your cursor to a segment of the bar chart, you can see the duration that the operational status persists.

By default, the Utilization Over Time chart shows the utilization of the assets displayed on the current asset dashboard in the last 24 hours.

How many assets are displayed in this chart depends on the pagination and the number of results per page set in the Asset Dashboard. If a filter or a sorting condition is applied to these assets, it’s also applied to the Utilization charts.

The segments indicating the durations of operational statuses that occurred in the non-scheduled time are shown in a darker shade in the Utilization Over Time bar chart. Meanwhile, the segments indicating the operational statuses of assets that occurred within the scheduled time keep bright.

Tip

  • To browse the real-time status in a smaller time scope, you can click the image2.png icon to zoom in on the chart or drag the dot under the timeline towards the left side.

  • To view the utilization charts of the assets over a week, click on the Date selection icon and switch to the 1W, 1M, or Custom tab.

  • Use the sorting conditions in the toolbar of the Asset Dashboard to adjust the display order of the assets in the Utilization charts.

  • To get the real-time utilization data, you can click on the Refresh button on the upper right.

This type of chart shows the cumulative time percentage of each operational status for each asset displayed on the current asset dashboard within the selected time span.

  • Operating Percentage = Cumulative time of operating status till now / Scheduled Time

  • Idle Time Percentage = Cumulative time of Idle status till now / Scheduled Time

  • Error Percentage = Cumulative time of error status till now / Scheduled Time

  • Unknown Percentage = 100% – Operating Percentage – Idle Percentage – Error Percentage

Note

The cumulative time of waiting status is included in the operating time.

The Total Hours parameter shows the average cumulative time percentage of each operational status for all assets.

The Include non-scheduled time toggle is turned off by default, which means the utilization percentage of each operational status for each asset is calculated based on the scheduled time. When toggled on, the utilization percentage is calculated with the non-scheduled time included.

The Scheduled Time calculation depends on whether an asset has a production schedule.

  • If it has a production schedule, Scheduled Time equals the total time of all shifts in a production schedule that falls in the selected time period.

  • If it hasn't a production schedule, Scheduled Time equals the total time of the selected time period, which is calculated based on a 24/7 schedule.

Tip

A production schedule consists of one or multiple shifts and is set up by shift on a weekly basis.

A shift is a consecutive time period within a production schedule. It can be set up only on a daily basis. The time period of shifts in a day cannot overlap with each other.

This type of chart shows the cumulative time of each operational status within the scheduled production time. Select the corresponding status from the Status list to browse its individual chart.

The Include non-scheduled time toggle is turned off by default. When toggled on, the cumulative time of each operational status occurring during the non-scheduled time will also be included and displayed in the bar chart.
